The preservation and functionality of protective structures are essential to ensure long-term safety and sustainability. Regular inspections, mandated at defined intervals by applicable standards, are crucial for the early detection of potential damage or deficiencies. This allows for the timely planning and implementation of appropriate measures – both for individual structures and for comprehensive protection systems. The primary goal is to extend the service life of the structures while optimizing maintenance and repair costs..

Efficient Data Collection and Processing

Even before the inspection begins, protective structures are recorded using baseline data within a Geographic Information System (GIS) and organized in a geospatial database. This structured data acquisition enables efficient and targeted fieldwork execution.

On-Site Inspection

On site, the protective structures are examined by our trained specialists. Depending on accessibility, advanced rope access and safety techniques are used to systematically identify and document construction defects, damage, or wear caused by natural hazard processes. These findings are georeferenced and plotted in the inspection maps. Where required, GPS-based positioning is also carried out.

Detailed Assessment and Reporting

Based on the data collected in the field, the condition of the protective structures is assessed and categorized into condition levels according to ONR standards. This forms the basis for prioritizing necessary maintenance and repair measures. All information is compiled in a geospatial database and documented in detailed reports. These include photographic documentation, annotated structural sketches, and precise recommendations for further action.
